Opsite Flexifix is a roll of transparent film from the Smith and Nephew brand.

This is a water and bacteria-resistant film but with great water vapour permeability which allows the skin to breathe. The acrylic sealing strip reduces the risk of skin lesions upon withdrawal, especially after it has been worn for a long time.

Opsite Flexifix 15 cm x 10 m is easy to apply on irregular anatomical contours, as well as on compresses and tubes. Very adaptable to forms and elastic bands, it offers patients very high comfort.

This innovative presentation allows for quick distribution and economic use of the OPSITE film to properly secure dressings.

Opsite Flexifix 15 cm x 10 m application technique

It is recommended for:

• fastening interface dressings, such as the non-adhesive MELOLITE dressings or the hydroactive ALLEVYN dressings in polyurethane;
• fastening tubes;
• treating painful peripheral neuropathies;
• protecting leg bags, stoma pouches, etc.
• reducing the risk of intact skin lacerations, and particularly preventing pressure sores.

Not to be used on open wounds.

1. Cut off the length of film required from the roll;
2. Fold the strip across the length to remove the protective paper sheets;
3. Peel off the backing marked "Remove first";
4. Apply the film on the desired area without making creases;
5. To remove the film, gently stretch it out across the skin, whist lifting it up from one side;
6. Then do the other part.
